Terry Stevens, left, has started with his son Judge Terry Stevens to give their time and teach chess to children at the Harriman Boys and Girls Club. They hope to teach children a game that uses critical thinking skills and strategy.
The pair will be at the facility on Wednesday afternoons to help aspiring chessmasters.
After the group gets more proficient in their skills, there will be a tournament held with a cash prize going to the champion.
