The Town of Roscoe kicked off the trout fishing season by holding their First Cast celebration on Saturday morning, April 2, despite the season starting the day before. After the ceremony at Junction Pool, the group gathered at the home and store of Mary Dette to celebrate her 80th birthday. Mary was surprised to see that the street she lives on will be named after her. Dette, and her family are well known for their tying of quality flies, and are celebrities in their own right. Dette shows off the sign to the crowd.
